REVOLTA COMPLETES TESTING OF EDGENET CONTROLLER FUNCTIONALITIES

This Sunday ReVolta completed the end-to-end tests of the new functionalities of its smart controller, frequency control and peak shaving at the Delhaize St-Rochus store in Kortrijk.
We are very pleased to announce that the tests were a success!
ReVolta's energy management platform adds value to batteries by making them active contributors to the energy system and thus bringing tomorrow a step closer ;-)
This marks an important milestone for the development of our software platform and confirms an interesting potential for additional revenue & savings for Delhaize Group.

WTAT4EVER'S INAUGURATION TAKES PLACE IN BERINGEN IN THE PRESENCE OF MME LYDIA PEETERS, MOBILITY & TRANSPORT MINISTER OF FLANDERS

Yesterday ReVolta, Out of Use, Febelauto, Eco Lithium and Shence Management launched our new company Watt4Ever in our new production plant in Beringen. This was done in the presence of Lydia Peeters, Flemish Minister for Mobility, and Mr Thomas Vints, Mayor of Beringen.
Watt4Ever will be converting used batteries from hybrid and electric vehicles into high-quality, industrial, green energy stationary storage systems.
Delhaize Belgium, already client of ReVolta and Watt 4Ever was there to praise our first installations and wish our new company godspeed ;-)
REVOLTA & DELHAIZE TEST REVOLTA'S STORAGE SOLUTION IN KORTRIJK

Delhaize Group decided to take action and give a positive alternative to the challenge of end-of-life EV battery management by working with Watt4Ever and ReVolta and installing second-life batteries to ensure power backup for their sites.
We present you the first of our batteries to be installed in Delhaize stores. First of more to come :-)

The ReVolta team was very happy to announce Monday at the Brussels Motor Show the creation of our new consortium Watt 4 Ever together with our partners from Out Of Use nv , Febelauto, Eco Lithium and Intigo.
Watt 4 Ever has the ambition of being a one-stop-shop for the end-of-life treatment of eletric vehicle batteries in Belgium, giving them a second-life in stationary applications or preparing them for recycling. Stay tuned things for great things to come!

On Friday 06/21/2019, Prince Laurent kick-started Febelauto’s 20th anniversary party by plugging in the organisation’s newly acquired second-life battery.
By doing so, Prince Laurent further inaugurated ReVolta’s first commercial project: the battery, holding a capacity of 7,5kWh and comprising reused electric vehicle batteries, will be installed at the Friendship office boat in the Napoleonkaai, in Antwerp.
The latter will use the battery to store excess power produced by its newly-installed solar panels, ensure backup power in case of a black-out, and reduce its peak consumption from the electricity grid.
ReVolta will optimize the use of the battery in different applications, in function of the ship’s consumption, weather data, but also electricity prices. The company hence proposes to its clients a solution for energy storage that is not only eco-friendly, but also financially sustainable; a combination of applications allows for better return on investment than any battery used in a single setup.
This second-life battery is moreover a prime example of circular economy: by repurposing an EV battery, its lifetime is extended by at least 10 years, avoiding thus 2 tons of CO2, besides allowing for critical raw materials -such as lithium and cobalt- to remain in the ground.
Better yet, ReVolta will use this battery to facilitate integration of renewable energy into the electrical network, the CO2 savings becoming exponential over the years in operation.

REVOLTA PARTICIPATED AT THE COOPCITY FEST BY POWERING AN ENTIRE STAND OF COOPCITY "CITY OF THE FUTURE"

ReVolta was delighted to participate in Coopcity's wonderful event yesterday. Coopcity created an entire miniature "city" in St-Gilles, giving a glimpse of how social enterprises can transform our cities in the future.
ReVolta was proudly part of the event by providing our very own miniature power station with which we powered the entire IT stand of Coopcity's city!

ReVolta's recently acquired little guinea-pig :-) In the next few weeks we will be using it at the Irisib research institute @ISIB - Institut Supérieur Industriel de Bruxelles to further develop the services we can provide with energy storage.
